In the sea of various types of drones that are currently available on the market, many people often choose the ones with a superior camera. While this is not such a bad thing, it is still quite a surprising occurrence given the fact that most (if not all) of these people buy their drone just so they could fly it around their backyard… But then, why are cheap drones with camera so popular? Truth be told, there is not just one possible answer, there’s a couple of them… So without further adue, let us take a closer look at them to see what exactly is going on!
Even though most people purchase drones either for their kids or for some good old fun flying time in the backyard, many of them want a camera drone because they think (emphasis on think) they will record some good aerial pictures. Don’t get me wrong, some of them really do that, but the majority will shoot a couple of pictures when they first get their hands on their new drone (to test out the camera) and probably never use it again.
Another very important reason behind the popularity of camera drones is of course – the right to brag. There is nothing more sweet than to inform your drone-enthusiast friends that you just got a brand-new Yuneec Q500 with a silk smooth 4K action camera. There is no doubt they will all be amazed, but that still doesn’t approve the fact that you’ll use way less than you initially thought. You may think you will, but trust me – you will consider flying the darn thing much more fun than taking pictures with it.
Probably the most common reason behind camera drones’ popularity must be their ability to provide people with live first person view straight from the cockpit. FPV offers a great amount of immersion and is something that sells drones to many people. This sort of thing is especially popular with younger audiences who want to experience piloting in a way they couldn’t ever before. Luckily, even some of the cheapest drones offer FPV modes which is just adding up to their popularity. Another important aspect is of course VR. Some drones are compatible with virtual reality headsets which gives even greater immersion than “standard” FPV. Just put your VR headset on, download the app and connect to your drone. Next thing you know, you’ll be flying in VR mode like a proper champ!
This is a question that many parents ask themselves after hearing their child wants a brand-new drone… So, why are they so popular among younger audiences? Well, the answer is quite simple actually. As is the case with toy RC cars, bikes, trucks and other similar stuff, drones are tingling their imagination in the same exact way. They are capable of providing your kids with a lot of fun and teaching them how to properly take good care of their new (probably expensive) toys. They learn to control devices in midair and will most likely be very careful with them because they know how expensive they are. Truth be told, you can get a cheap drone for less than $100 and your children will appreciate it the same as if you’d buy them a premium one for $500. What matters is the fact that they can enjoy a flying toy that does exactly what they want – they can shoot videos with them, take selfies or make themselves small obstacle courses on which they can train their pilot skills. In other words, their imagination is the limit.
How much does a children friendly drone cost?
As is the case with a lot of tech gadgets these days, there are cheap, kid’s versions for a rather budget-friendly prices. With this being said, I won’t discourage you from buying a $1k drone you’re your kid, but for the sake of money well spent, you should consider purchasing a cheap one so your kid can learn the basics of controlling the drone without crashing it into every single tree in your backyard. When they finally get the grasp on the controls, then (and only then) you should see are they enthusiastic about the whole “drone hobby” thing before purchasing a top tier one for a couple hundred bucks.
Should you buy your kid a drone?
All things considered, drones are the new trend in tech gadget industry and as such are, of course, very popular among kids and teenagers. If you opt to buy your kids a drone during this holidays season there is no doubt that they will be excited as never before. Keep in mind that you should do a thorough research before choosing the right one as drones can get quite tricky to purchase. There’s a big bunch of information and technical specification regarding them and purchasing them can become a real nuisance. But then again, when you do happen to find the right drone for you, your child will thank you with a big smile on his face and will most likely go charge it up and take it for a spin as soon as possible!

How does it look like when drone is used for landscaping?
I believe many of you are asking this question yourself.. I agree, it’s little bit confusing at the beginning, drone and landscaping.. But once you get it, you’ll see how much sense does it make. Drones gives us oportunity to finally look from above (without using helicopter, which is pretty expensive). So take a look at video below :
Quite impressive, right? Video quality is amazing, 1080p HD resolution. Only few years ago you’d needed full movie group and two pilots to get that kind of footage from air. Just when you compare what we have now to what we had 10 years ago you can see how fast technology is changing and improving our lives. Let’s just hope it will continue in that way!
I’d like to hear your comments on video above, how do you like it? Do you have examples of drone footages you’ve made, would you like to share it with us?
